Port Hastings, NS:—  On Saturday, June 4, 2016, the Strait Regional School Board said thank you to thirty-six (36) members of staff during Celebrating Service 2016, the 16th annual retirement banquet to recognize the service and commitment of School Board employees.

“Honourees, this evening we come together to thank you and to celebrate your distinguished professional careers and many contributions to the children and youth in the Strait Region.  Regardless of your position in our education community, you have given freely of your time and talents and all of us are better for it.  Each and every day, you have been devoted members of our school communities, and made students and their successes your main priority and for this, I sincerely thank you,” said Board Vice Chair Jamie Samson. 

Celebrating Service 2016 celebrates the contributions and leadership of a very special group of people.  The honourees of 2016 are people who have made a difference in the lives of our students and our communities.  Friends, colleagues, and family congratulate them on their accomplishments and express gratitude for a job well-done.
