Information for Students and Parents/Guardians Regarding Transportation and Supervision

February 21, 2017

Dear Students and Parents/Guardians:

Earlier today, the Government of Nova Scotia announced that the Teachers’ Professional Agreement and Classroom Improvement Act has been passed by the House of Assembly.

Further to this announcement, and as a reminder, please note the following:

  • All bus pick-up times and routes implemented during work to rule remain in effect. Specific changes will be communicated to affected students and parents/guardians through your local school.
  • Supervision of students will be in place 20 minutes before classes start and 20 minutes after classes end. Please do not drop off/pick up students outside this timeframe as there will be no supervision.

We will continue to share information as it becomes available on the Strait Regional School Board website,, and on Twitter (@StraitRSB).

Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation.
