Four Cape Breton Highlands Education Centre/Academy Students Compete at Nova Scotia Skills Competition: Avery LeLièvre Comes Home with a Silver Medal!

Congratulations to Cape Breton Highlands Education Centre/Academy students Jesse Daley, Daphne LeBlanc, Darcie LeFort and Avery LeLièvre  who competed at the Nova Scotia Skills Competition held at the Nova Scotia Community College Ivany Campus in Dartmouth on Friday, April 6, 2018. Avery LeLièvre and Darcie LeFort competed in the photography competition while Jesse Daley and Daphne LeBlanc competed in the job search competition.

Congratulations to Avery LeLièvre who also earned a Silver Medal in the secondary photography category. She was required to take photos of competitors across the 14 different events at the competition and then demonstrate her editing skills while creating a theme with five photos reflective of the Skills Competition. 

As the Nova Scotia Skills Competition website points out, the Competition provides opportunities for youth to explore skilled trades and technologies, enhance their skills, and strive for excellence in a chosen field.
